Impartialality Policy

Being impartial and being perceived to be impartial is necessary for SummerTech NDT to deliver our services in such a way as to provide the highest level of confidence. This also enables the Company to maintain the professionalism and credibility of the entire calibration process.

Impartiality is not only an accreditation requirement for a an inspection/examination body; it is an absolute necessity to maintain the confidence in the Quality Management System as a whole. It is therefore the objective of SummerTech NDT to retain its impartiality throughout the delivery of all our services.

The Company maintains its independence by remaining honest, transparent, fair, objective and free of any external influences either from all relevant sources.  As such, all decisions are based on objective evidence of either conformity or non-conformity.

Consideration has been given to the following potential risks to impartiality:

• The risk of self-interest arising from a person or body acting in their own interest.

• The risk of self-review arising from a person reviewing the work that they have conducted themselves. 


• The over-familiarity arising from a person becoming too familiar with clients and their requirements.

• The risk of intimidation or threats arising from a person having a perception of being coerced openly or secretively, and such a threat should be reported immediately.

 

The on-going risks to impartiality and this policy are both subject to ongoing monitoring and review.
